TRAINING FOR THE WORLD MASTERS IN TURIN 2013

WORLD MASTERS GAMES 2013

Australia will have competitors at the World Masters Games Bocce Raffa Championships in Torino, Italy during the 5th to the 8th of August. Raffa Bocce is one of the Games, 30 sports that mature aged sports people can participate in, in a friendly competitive way.

The World Masters Games is an international multi-sport event held every four years which, in terms of competitor numbers, has developed into the largest of its kind.

The international bocce player Giuseppe Rozzo will be leading a ladies team from the Sydney Marconi Club for this event. The ladies, all retired school teachers, each year choose to go overseas to a special place of interest. This year they have chosen to compete at the World Masters Games in Torino.

Giussepe Rozzo and Rocco Mancini competed for Australia at the 10th World Team Raffa Championships in Argentina in 2012, in which 23 nations competed.

The Bocce Federation of Australia wishes the competitors well and hopes they bring back fond memories of their participation.
