International Bocce Referee, Tomaz Centa held an informal seminar on how to apply the Bocce playing rules in competition, at the Furlan Club, Melbourne on 21st January 2009.
The seminar, titled "BOCCE THE PLAYING RULES, HOW TO APPLY AND INTERPRET THEM" was an apt subject for the fifty odd participants.
Hopefully, after the two hours of discussions the players and officials left with a clearer idea on how to apply and interpret the playing rules to their sport. The evening was organized by the Bocce Federation of Australia in conjunction with the Bocce Federation of Victoria.
Tomaz Centa, whose most recent refereeing role was the World Under 18 and Under 23 Bocce Championships in Zagreb last September 2008, was visiting Australia on vacation. During this period he visited the Latrobe Valley, metropolitan Melbourne and Sydney to meet and play with fellow Bocce enthusiasts.
